Fable Books are part storytelling, part mechanical paper sculpture (aka automata). I write original fables and illustrate the scenes in watercolor, then hand-cut and assemble prints of the art into a layered paper diorama. I arrange the diorama inside an empty wooden book and build hidden mechanical movements that animate the art and bring the stories to life. Please note Fable Books are not intended for children, both due to the stories and the fragile nature of moving paper sculptures. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
