For a first date outfit, the goal is to look pretty without being over-the-top. There are lots of ways to accomplish that, but this first date outfit is a perfect fit. Sparkling wine and roses are two of my favorite things (besides handmade jewelry). They add romance to anything, and so I created an outfit inspired by that theme.
I started with a classic blank canvas – a little black dress. This off-the-shoulder dress has a flattering A-line shape, and the thin leather tie belt helps to nip in the waist. Tall, chocolate brown stiletto boots add height and a sexy long-legged look. By itself, this first date outfit is simple and pretty, but the right accessories can make it really pop! A light gold metallic satchel adds a bit of brightness and complements my Iridescent Wine Earrings and my sweet little Champagne Glass Bracelet, which is delicate when worn alone or even cuter when stacked with similar pieces like my Cabernet Bottle Bracelet and Lavender Glass Bracelet. My Ombré Petals Baguette Crystal Necklace makes a big statement with that little black dress. The necklace art is a reproduction of an original rose petal painting, which I attached to an upcycled chandelier crystal dangling from a champagne-colored beaded chain. The petals form a gradient of shades -- from burgundy, red, and orange to soft yellow and pink. I finished the piece with a touch of shimmer that catches the light and really sparkles through the prisms of the chandelier crystal.
Just need a glass of champagne and this first date outfit is complete!
